The SeaTrain Experience
Ashore, during the winter months, SeaTrain offers theory Day Skipper and Coastal/Yachtmaster courses as well as RYA First Aid courses. VHF courses are normally available throughout the year.
SeaTrain
operates under the RYA national cruising scheme offering practical courses
at sea for the RYA Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper course
completion certificates. We
have been in operation for over 12 years and have a justifiable reputation
for excellence in all the courses we offer, both at sea and ashore.
SeaTrain also offers the more experienced yachtsman courses to prepare for the RYA/DTp Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore examinations or "Passage" weeks, which include longer trips to Holland, Belgium or France.
As
required by the DTp/RYA our yachts all have a Small Commercial Vessel
Certificate and the School principal is a qualified Yachtmaster Instructor.
One
day International Certificate of Competence (ICC) practical tests can
also be arranged during the sailing season.
